Ireland Trip

On the 5-7th my self and the rest of my peer group will be traveling to Ireland, to visit some of the galleries in Belfast and Dublin.

Below is the proposed itinerary.

February 5

Arrive in Belfast 11am

Drop off in Belfast city approx. 12 @ MAC arts venue

10 Exchange street west Belfast

Walk to Belfast Exposed

(photographic resource, archive & gallery)

The Exchange place

23 Donegall St BT1 2FF

Talk by the exhibitions curator/look at current show

–      Luca Foglia

Talk by curator of Source Magazine – John Duncan

NB source on line has a page to promote student work

Free time until 3pm

suggested visits

A pint in the oldest pub in Belfast?

Arts council and British council funded arts space

National Museums of  Northern Ireland

Meet back at MAC centre @ 3pm for travel to Dublin

(drive approximately 2 hours)

Check in the hostel – student freetime


Wednesday Feb 6

Students meet at 11am to visit

Dublin Gallery of Photography

& National photographic archive

Freetime until 6pm reconvene at Gallery of photography for bookclub meeting

Thursday Feb 7

AM free time

Suggested places to visit in Dublin

Dublin city gallery

Trinity college Gallery

 The little museum of Dublin (not free)

Grafton street shopping
