Framing The World Through My Photographs
Source magazine started in 1992 in Belfast, the magazine was set up by a group of photographers who were frustrated by the lack of provision for photography within the gallery and education sectors in Northern Ireland and the lack of network for Northern Irish photographers. In 1995 the magazine gained enough funds to start to print in colour.
The initial remit/distribution was just Belfast and then eventually it expanded to the rest of Northern Ireland and even further a field.
Source use a structure for there magazine which varies slightly from issue to issue depending on the feature. Each issue usually consists of three photographers work.
Source magazine is a great publication for young/ undiscovered and graduate photographers to contact as Source are constantly looking for new photographic talents.
