Framing The World Through My Photographs

Extended Mixed Lighting

To extend my initial workshop on mixed lighting myself and three other class mates of mine (Becky Woodall, Kerrie Caine & Jenny Stonely) decided to book out the travel kits and gain more practice using mixed lighting.

For this shoot we used two 750W bownes lights with one large soft box attached to the light on the model at the front and the other light had a small spill kill attached with the inside of the soft box held over it to diffuses the light slightly. The light on the back model (me) was set slightly higher than the one on the front as I was further into the underpass in which less light could reach me.

This photo was taken on a very sunny day so not much extra light was needed. We decided that the absent light should light the face and that we would us the studio lights on the wall to bring out the colours in the graffiti and to eliminate any shadow I may have created.
